The 3:10 train came to a stop. Hot steam came blowing from the top. All walks of lives came off the train. A good looking man came off the train. He carried a leather casing that hung over his left shoulder the strap crossed his chest. He wore a black bowler hat on his head. A brown scarf was wrapped around his neck. It was snowing here in Del Fuego. The left gloved hand had a small leather case in his hand.
The new man sniffed the air. The air in Texas was dryer than Dodge city. The man walked on the platform to the post that hung outside of the train station. The poster showed the map of the city. It was smaller. The way people talked it sounded it was like New York city.
The new comer stood tall with his broad shoulders out. He followed the map's direction to the Inn. He was average height for a man of that time. He was about five feet and ten inches tall. Well built, t but not thin like a rail. He wore a long tan dust jacket.
As he was walking through the streets. He was smiling. The price he paid to find leads. The books he read where updated. He spent time to reach those people in those books he read. He was here to write a new chapter of the man name Duke. Yes, Duke thought he had escaped Dodge City, but there was much uncovered. But Duke was not the first person he was after. There was a young man he wanted to hunt down. A piece of a puzzle that possible can add a twist to a powerful story that will be a popular seller. Yes, the stranger had spent all lot of his time on research. It was time to get those truths. So he could start this legendary story which will blow Billy The kid story out of the water.
He pushed the door open of the Inn, and walked in. The Inn Keeper helper greeted the new comer.
"Name is Vincent Valentine. Do you have a room ready?" He asked. The Inn Keeper said yes. The Inn Keeper started to prepare the paper work and the key. Vincent turned to look at the small lobby. Cute small little establishment. Vincent was pondering if there were stories to be told about this inn.
As he was waiting he pulled out a picture of a boy. The photo looked like the young picture Jeremiah Benjamin Atkins. The picture showed the boy was seven years old. It was indeed an out dated picture, but it was better picture he had of him of an infant.
